Starting to sound like an Audi-list-centric class action suit just
waiting to happen against the department that makes the justification
decisions on road maintenance in your area. I don't know about Mass,
but in England there is a critical analysis to decide whether the cost
of repairing the road would be less than the number of damaged parties
likely to pursue damages from the roads department -- if the cost to
fix is more, they simply plan on paying claims instead...
