Dave,

I can help with your radio issue. I too had the same problem and it gets
progressively worse. I ran a new wire from the power source in the head unit
to an external toggle switch mounted in one of the blank switches above the
head unit. This turns on the radio, the old turn knob is just used for
volume. It works great. Because the power is activated by a turn knob, which
also controls volume, it wears out.
