Probably a defective FM antenna amplifier, from the sounds of it --
might have an intermittent connector at the power feed (or the ground).
The fact that the AM is fine leads me to believe that it is the one in
the front (for the front glass). If I recall correctly, the amplifier
is in the front A pillar around the windshield (check the bentley
manual before disassembling!).
