[s-cars] ECS Big Reds, Mintex reds, and horrendous brake sque al

Well, maybe with the big brake kits the Reds squeal, but I have Mintex Reds
in my stock G60's, and they work fine. No sqealing, low dust and for
'normal' street driving, whatever that is, I like them. IME of course.

Everyone I know who has the Mintex Reds complains of squealing. They are
loud even with the dampers installed.

Rod, Are you using Mintex competitions? Do you think they would be good
for a daily driver? The reds definitely leave some goo on the rotors. I
always used semi-metalic pads before. No dust no sqeal. What kind of pad
will make her not squeal? :-)

Cant reply on the backings, I dont use tham and have no probs. The Mintex
reds are TOO SOFT they will leave crap on the rotors. I use the competitions
and they are great. Rod _________________________________ >>
