[s-cars] Torn DV boots, perhaps?

It is very easy for a CV joint to go bad, if the boot is torn. Uncommon
if the boot isn't torn. Easy enough to check: crank your wheel all the
way to the left, shut off the engine and then get out and examine the
boots carefully; repeat to the right.

Good Luck

  Is it possible a car w/ 143K
miles on it to have one of the CV joints go bad? As sometimes I can
feel
it even in the pedals at slow speeds when it pops and creaks.
