Matt,
 The q-club or I should make it politically correct and say "Audi Car Club
of North America"(whatever) is holding their annual Winter Driving School
event in Steamboat on Feb 1 and 2. See quattroclubusa.org for more info.
This event fills up extremely fast so I'd recommend checking out the site
immediately if you're interested.

What's different this year, so far, Is that I have not heard of any
additional weekends that the usual "Audi guys" are renting the track and
need others to help split costs and such. But that could change as soon as
tomorrow. I've also heard second hand that "track management" at the school
claim the "quattro guys" tend to leave the track a bit, shall we say
"altered" when we, ahem, those guys leave the track and it takes some work
to get it back into shape:-)

 The driving school did get a late start this year because of lack of snow.
However, from whom I spoke with recently, they now seem to be right on
schedule. Even if you're too late to register for the event, I'd still
recommend showing up to get some rides. HTH,
