The AllData product is used by a number of smaller shops in our area,
because it details both billing/time and parts issues, as well as
instructions for mechanics not familiar with a specific breed of car
(do this, that, this and then this). That said, I have found the
Bentley's to be more detailed and better suited for a specific vehicle
(esp. Audi's), but if you need to cover a wide range of vehicles and
don't want to amass a huge library in the process, AllData was the
answer. Last time I checked, it was too expensive to justify for an
individual owner.
