[s-cars] Suitable bumper for FMIC applications?

IMO the "right" kind of FMIC can (has) been fit within the existing bumper
shell, without the need for extensive, if any alterations ~BTD(oing)T. Some
substantial surgery however, is required to the aluminum front beam support
and the addition of one or two additional "cooling" slats a la Hap's up
bumper modification while optional, is probably a good idea.
The current (i.e., 1st generation if you will) install on my Green car
required stretching the lower lip of the snap in grill area @ 3/4trs to 1"
or about the existing spacing in the lower grill. IMO, unless one knew what
they were looking for, or very observant, most would not notice the FMIC was
on the car. Far more obvious is the (unwanted, but necessary) Kamie grill
sans the 4 Audi rings.
In a related FWIW note on what probably amounts to intercooler overkill, we
went skiing Friday. Ambient temperatures leaving Denver were in the mid to
low twenties, dropping to @ 18 F as one climbed to Evergreen. Sustained
boost climbing I-70 / Lookout Mountain (a long probably 5 or 6% grade) was
holding @ 5 - 8 psi with occasionally moments of 10+ psi. At outside
temperature gauge readings of @ 20 F, the Davtron IC temp outlet gauge read
22 F ~ i.e. the FMIC generally held the 5 to 10+ psi incoming charge air to
within 2 degrees of ambient, with an occasional brief tick to 3 degrees over
ambient.
And this is with a puny 3.5" thick FMIC, nothing compared to Haps 4" thick
monster. I only wish we could get comparable data for a car running a stock
IC. Actually, I think of at least as much, if not more interest/importance
would be deterring the pressure drop across the IC(s).

~Other than the SEIDL, and Reiger covers, is there anything else out there
~for those who, one day, hope to have enough power to necessitate a FMIC?
