Being mr urS iPod, (amongst other things) I am sure with you on this!
We dont need no stinkin old cd players!
I have hard wired mine into daBose but NOW there is this Transpod :

Now that..could save some work!  and prolly fit nicely into the
cigarette lighter.
Someone should try this and report on sound quality and ease of use.
Hell it may be me... to be able to move the ipod over to the wifes car.
