Exactomundo, Robin. Ya gotta be an old man to fully appreciate the RS6.
We old men like fast cars, but comfy cars for our tired old butts. While
I'd truly love to drive an R8, an S1, an F1 Ferrari and maybe even a top
fuel dragster, I have no desire to do so on the street. My fillings are
too fragile and would fall out on my lap.
On the other hand, I don't really want to drive my livingroom around the
streets -- I can do without sixteen cup holders, vibrating, recliner
seats and a host electronic gadgets -- GPS/satellite/laser-guided
navigation systems and an on-board computerized psycho-analysis units.
Just give me a fast, great handling, relatively smooth riding awd car
that's just this side of lethal and I'm one happy old fart.
Bill
still south of 50, but I can see it on the horizon
>The Old Man tag when applied to the RS6 is misleading, like the car. Another tuner, from a small Bavarian village called Wettstetten, described the RS6 (in tuned form) as the most dangerous car he had ever driven, it is so deceptively fast compared to the RS4 which makes a song and dance about it. Perhaps you have to be an 'Old Man' to be 'enough of a man' to drive an RS6!
