[s-cars] What to do with an old 5-speed?

My 92 recently has received its CRB install (and a
list-wide thanks to members Robert B. from Deutschland
for supplying it and Chad Tobin for getting up early
here in Columbus after the exhausting Fiesta Bowl,
giving up the entire day and brilliantly installing
it).

I know many of us have had to or elected to replace
their 5-speeds so the question is what to do with the
old one? (By the way even if you don't have to, this
transmission is an outstanding upgrade - seek out
Robert Braunschweig to find you one)

Mine with its whiny pinion bearing (I'm told) is
sitting nicely in a crate in the install facility and
I probably can't leave it there forever.

Do I have a boat anchor or is there any demand for one
like it in its present state or if I have it rebuilt
first? It has 49K miles and works smoothly in all
gears, but has a speed-dependent whine.

Thanks for the input,
Scott
