Hey Mark,
I'm going by memory here... start by lowering the window, then you need to =
lift up the black plastic covering on the inside of the door facing the mir=
ror (be gentle as it has a 2 or 3 inch lower plastic sleeve that could brea=
k if you yank it). Once that removed you will find an octogonal screw to be=
removed, there is also a philips type screw closer to the door edge that h=
olds the mirror. Once you've removed these two screws you can remove the mi=
rror, note that it's still attached by the connector, so pull upwards and y=
ou should see the wire, disconnect and it's out !
Ok, here's how to remove the mirror from the case without busting the mirro=
r=2E Push down on one side of the mirror all the way down, using a long thi=
n screw driver and a flash light you will see a small loop inside on the co=
rner. Put your screwdriver under the loop and twist, it should pop out of o=
ne side. Now repeat for the next corner, same method, the mirror should com=
e out with no trouble. There's a special tool for doing this, but I found t=
his works just as easy.
Hope that helps.
Cheers, /James "Fleur-de-Lys" Murray.
