[s-cars] 93 Infrared Key Not Working - Update/Try This

I didn't read thru the list of responses, but I had the same problem on my
93 UrS4. Key would program, but after would not lock/unlock. My "from the
old country, seen it all" service advisor at local dealer told me, "just go
change the batteries in you remote. I bet two or more are weak or dead." In
a thick Scandanavian accent mind you. I tested, two were dead, replaced
accordingly and remote works like a champ. As far as I can tell, he is the
ultimate BTDT guy. Hope that helps.
