[s-cars] Mysterious fluid leak?

My leaking pump on the driver's side drips onto the belly pan, runs along it
some, and eventually drips on the floor on the passenger side, so I'm
guessing you might have a similar leak. Take a dry, clean rag, and clean the
X plug on the PS/brake fluid pump, then turn the engine on and turn the
steering wheel back and forth, lock to lock, a few times. Did the X plug or
nearby get wet? If so, you've got the same leak as me, if not, your guess is
as good as mine. Another check, is the PS fluid reservoir getting low? BTW,
my car has only 90-ish K miles, so it's kind of a low miles car as well.
HTH.

Ian,
This leak appears on my PASSENGER side. It does indeed get
diverted a little by the belly pan. I can't really track where its
coming from as its soooo cold out here in CT. Does that liquid run to
the passenger side of the car at all?
My car only has 50k miles. I've had it for about 2 weeks and it
didn't have this leak when I picked up the car. The cold seemed to bring
it about.
Thanks!!

Mine, too, a 95.5 S6 Avant. It's Pentosin, leaking from the pump on my
car,
dripping down and getting diverted by the belly pan. The pump is at the
front of the engine, driver's side, and has a big plug with an "X" on it
on
top. The X plug on mine is what leaks. I plan on getting part number 026
145
541, a new X plug and O-ring, and replaceing the old, dead, leaking
part.
You might be having a similar problem. HTH.

Good Afternoon Gents,
I've been noticing a peculiar leak of fluid from my 95 s6
the past few days. If you've been in the New England area the past few
days (Hartford), its been in the single digits for temps and the problem
seemed to start at the beginning of this cold spell.
The leak is near the very front of the car on the passenger
side. The liquid looks greenish, but after inspection, it doesn't seem
to be oil or antifreeze. Any ideas?
Thanks!
E
