Bill:
Let's continue this subject further. I, too, have a 95.5 S6. Never had the
fuel line recall done (only have had it 2 months). This morning I noticed a
gas smell. Thought that some idiot had forgotten to replace his gas cap.
However, later when there was no traffic around me and I could still smell
gas I knew I was the idiot. My leak, and it is a very slow leak, is at the
connector end on the hose that goes into fuel rail. The hose connector is
two piece, the first goes over the rubber hose and the second piece has the
fitting where the next hose screws into. These two pieces are moveable in
relationship to each other and this is where my leak is.

Questions: Looks like this hose is integral to the fuel rail, is this true?
Can I get the hose separately, or do I have to buy the fuel rail?
Expensive??? From what I've read this is not replaced by the fuel line
recall. Am I correct, or can the dealer or Audi be enticed into replacing it
under this recall?

Eagerly awaiting your replies and wondering am I stupid again (my fifth Audi
turbo)?
