[s-cars] Fuel Filter Replacement?

Yes, fuse #17 is the fuel pump. I like to pull the fuse with the engine
running and let it stall to relieve as much pressure as possible before
opening the fuel system.* Also losen (and then retighten) the gas cap to
relieve any pressure in the tank. There will still be some pressure left in
the lines, so wrap a rag or paper towels around the first connection to
prevent fuel spraying out and open it slowly.
There is also a lot of fuel in the fuel filter that wants to come out once
it has a chance... hard to catch it working in the tight quarters
around/under the filter. Might be a good idea to be prepared with warm
suddsy water in case any gasoline spills on the paint.
It goes without saying that this procedure is done with a cold engine and no
nearby ignition sources (including cell phone!**) Eye protection is a good
idea when opening the fuel system, too. And always use two wrenches on each
fitting.

*This probably isn't an "approved" procedure as the engine may misfire as it
stalls letting some unburned fuel reach the catylitic converter. Not
recommending you do this, just telling you what I do. ;-)
**If you don't believe the sign at the gas station about cell phones and
static electricity, take out the little rubber plug that covers the
connection for the external antenna on the back and see how much dirt builds
up!

Subject: [s-cars] Fuel Filter Replacement?
Can anyone tell me the procedure for replacing the fuel filter?
Looking at the e-Bentley, it doesn't seem as dangerous as messing with the
tank, pump or fuel level sensor, but no procedure is given. Is there a
cutoff valve somewhere?
