Hi Brett,

What you call the carrier bolt is the calliper pin, right? Once this
first problem solved, forget about buying a calliper pin only. First, I
don't think it's available alone. At least, I never found one. Second,
you'll be at the same point again within a very short time as the rust
has developed not only on the calliper pin but also in the calliper pin
hole in the calliper carrier. Instead, buy a calliper carrier assembly,
which come with the two calliper pins. I've never sourced it for the S6
but the 90Q20V's was really cheap and definitely solved the problem.

Next step: Check the caliper pins and their dust boots whenever you can.
At every oil change is a good starting point. These damn pins jam
recurrently on whatever Audi I've owned or almost, i.e. CGT, 90Q20V,
CQ20V, 90Q12V, S6 (and counting).

HTH.

Vincent.

Hi Guys-

My brakes are sticking again, and just burned through my pagids :(

I believe the problem is the carrier bolt, it was sticking. but I
greased
it and thought it would work. Anyone else with this problem? Where can
I
get a carrier bolt?

TIA
