LOL! Yes, those pictures must have been from the time period when TRW indicated they wanted to send me to the U.K., and I was preparing in advance. Bastards changed their mind in the end, sent me to Germany, I had to swap it all back, and ended up leaving the car in the States anyways...
Anyone interested in the 28,423 step, completely documented, UrS4 RHD conversion process, email me off-list at

For unknown reasons, both Jimmy and Darin refused to post my step-by-step guide, saying something about not having 4 gigabytes free of space for such an idiotic idea...

Keith,
I believe that your modesty prevented you from mentioning that during the
installation of the Kamei grill and clear corners, you also converted to
Right Hand Drive. Very impressive!

Very important also to double check the warranty... including
A) Installer's warranty against peeling, bubbling
B) Film manufacturer's warranty against discoloration
C) Installer is willing to honor B or not...
See how long the guy has been in business too.
IMHO I'd rather pay $220 for a full warranty and the best film, than 160 for
good film with a limited warranty..

enough RE tint)
B4 and After pics of my car with "50%" on the front windows and "35%" on the
rear windows and back window.
If I had to do it again I'd probably go one grade lighter on each to improve
night vision, but I haven't lost any sleep about it.
The installer wanted me to do 20% in the back, "Just like on my Eldo out
there", but I politely declined, not REALLY wanting to give my car the full
DE-Troit treatment.....
YMMV

Figure a six to eight window Audi (i.e. - 2 or four door) should run
about $160 - $180 with very good quality film, about $100 with cheap
quality film. Make sure you see examples of their work before using
anyone, and insist on a 100% UV filtration. Also check into applicable
local/state laws concerning tint levels and take a few small pieces to
look through at night before deciding that this or that level of tint
is appropriate (you will hate yourself if you get something too dark).
Best Wishes,
