[s-cars] Bose Radio repair

Listers, I need some feedback please. Has had issues with the factory Bose
radio, I believe it is a Blaupunkt,('93 Urs4)losing power intermittenly,
sometimes turning back on. The problem starts with crackling while
increasing volume then it progresses to power loss. I emailed the "Radio
Man" he's saying its a bad head unit and quoted me $250.00. I'm not
convinced this is the issue. Anybody have similar troubles? Thanks for any
direction or advice.
