[s-cars] Torque Wrench for crank bolt

Well, 250 lb-ft is only about 3% off from 258 lb-ft, and this
is considered to be well within the acceptable accuracy
for most torque wrenches.
Even though you can get a calibration lab to get you
better than 1%, there is a lot more variation in actual
use depending on how the torque wrench was applied.
I would be more concerned that the torque wrench
has an adequate length to effectively apply this high
torque level, because putting a pipe on the end of
a torque wrench is verboten in most cases.
Doing this will create an unwanted bending moment
at the wrench handle and degrade the torque reading
accuracy.

I'm going to be changing my timing belt and the largest torque wrench I
could find to rent or buy in town goes up to 250 ft/lb. I'm still waiting
for the Bentley. Is this enough torque for the crank bolt?
Thanks,
Joel Rector
