Subject: [s-cars] Tranny Oil: Audi G50 vs RL vs Amsoil vs Mobil 1

I put in Castrol synthetic gear oil I got from a....
err.... Blau. It shifts fine. They said it will not
bog down in the cold like others do. We'll see on my
next 25 below ski day. Doing my rear diff seal, fluid
change next week.

I'll be changing the tranny fluid in my 95.5 S6 soon
and I am basically
interested in smoother shifts. To accomplish this...

Should I stick with the factory fill G50 or do one of
the above brands
offers
smoother performance?

Also Bentley specifies 90 weight oil for the rear axle
on the S6. Would
75W90
be OK? Which rear gear oil is most recommended?
