You may be getting a transient pulse back into the car's wiring.  You
could get around it with a relay, perhaps, but the proper approach is to
use a filter at the lamp ignition module.  An inductor in series and a
capacitor across the feed to the module (on the module side of the
inductor) might work.  Without some serious measurements, though, I
can't really advise what parts to use.  I'm a little surprised the
manufacturer didn't include such in his circuit.
