I presume this is your S-Car???  If the trunk assembly is like on the Type
44's, you can remove the lights bar by taking out screws available through
various little openings in the trunk lid reinforcing structures.  The
license plate bolts are on the underside of the lights bar, I believe.  If
you can find some plastic bolts and nuts, you can epoxy the nuts back in
place and not have a corrosion problem there in the future.
