[s-cars] Moaning A/C

I have the exact same problem !!! and it's soooo annoying... Any BTDT?

I'd love to know how to fix this. I've had the system check and I was told it has enough freon, and it gives enough cold air when working, but the sucker moans like an old hound dog, and will intermittenly turn itself off. It seems to turn itself off and on more in hot weather, and more when idling or in low gear.

Lately my A/C has been moaning. Any experience out there with this? If I put my hand on the compressor while running it feels fine (no vibration / grinding or anything). When I put my hand on the cold-side hoses I can feel a vibration or rapid pulsation. A/C works great otherwise. Is this a sign that something is about to go?

In a possibly related event, just today the A/C just turned itself off while I was cruising around town. I hit the AUTO button and it turned right back on. This happened a couple times. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
