Subject: RE: [s-cars] ECS Stage II Kit....continues to squeal...

I think it's worth noting that there are two amplitude/frequency squeals

There is one that is a squeal... no biggie, I can live with it. It sounds
like metallic pads. "Hey everyone, look at my brakes, aren't they bad ass?"

Then there is a SQUEAL that is very, very loud. It actually intesifies
under heavier braking unlike the first. "No lady, my car is not losing
control and smashing into your baby buggy!"

Agreed. And, er, Cody, FWIW, my Mintex Red's @ all 4 corners no longer
squeal so much. Now only on a very occasional basis, and briefly.

What miracle did I perform to solve this conundrum?

WHALE on them. Whoops. Was that out loud? OK, seriously, my Stage IIs
really don't squeak much anymore, and all I did is USE the brakes more (I
tend to downshift alot), and hard. Nice 'n quiet now... 'course... then
there's the matter of all that blacky stuff up in my Avus'... who was the
'fool' who commented yest. that they went to Red boxes b/c they hate
dust??????? Ummm... no. 8-)

-P drive it like you stole it, or sumptin', and live with the dust K.
