[s-cars] Clutch question

I've got to replace (mechanic, not me) the seal b/t motor and tranny.  So
obviously at 125k I should tend to the clutch as well.  Should I go further than
the clutch kits from sachs and the other after market offerings?  Do you just
have get in and see what's worn and go from there?
My Mech. is very good, but not Audi specific, so I usually supply him with
all required parts.
