Sorry I'm responding late to this, but I just saw the message.

I had the same problem with my changer ('95.5 S6 avant) and was able to
clear the error.

Remove the unit from the car. Remove the external housing that covers the
guts of the player.

There is probably a disk in the unit. Manually eject the disk...there's a
swingarm near the top/back of the unit that will allow you to do so. (I'm
doing this from memory, which is shot).

Once that disk is out and you are able to manually exercise the loading
mechanism, the unit will work properly.

Reinstall the external case, reinstall the unit back in the vehicle, turn on
the power and verify use.

Hope Ray enjoyed the Country & Western music in upstate NY. Course he
probably stopped in Utica and bought some Bee Gees on tape :)
