Yup.  Sounds like Ray did essentially that, though all the discs were still in
the cartridge.  Got cartridge out, reassembled housing and all seems to be
working fine.  Crisis averted.

I don't know about the Bee Gees tape but I hear that Hap called Ray on his cell
phone to serenade him with Hawaiian songs.  Apparently Hap keeps a ukulele in
the cockpit of the 767 for just such an occasion.
