Gents,
	I also had a similar problem when I changed out my rear rotors and pads.  The rubber boot had a small tear in it and caused the guide pin to rust in place.  With the help of Frank Amoroso and others...we were able to get the pin out (nearly ripping down Franks Workbench) polish the pin w/ a Dremel tool and brake cleaner, re-grease with waterproof Audi branded guide pin grease, and replace the boot that Frank actually had in-stock.

It was a total PITA and added about 1.5 hours to the rear brake job...but we were able to salvage the pin.
