I disagree to some extent- nonlinear power delivery can make it
difficult to
modulate the throttle properly in order to ensure smooth power delivery,
especially when at the track or just simply carving up the twisties.

Think Porsche 930 type power delivery and you'll know what I'm talking
about. That's why no one takes their T-72 equipped Supra TT out to a
road course, because it's not practical in that type of application. If
you're
talking about outright straight-line speed, sure, you're right.
