[s-cars] starter woes

I just got a call from the guy who bought my S6.  Apparently, the car was
making "a lot of noise", and he drove it right to the mechanic.  The mechanic
determined that the starter had not disengaged, and ordered a new one.  The new
one also fails to disengage.  In my opinion, (yes, I'm a lawyer), this is an
ignition switch problem.  Anyone have other ideas?

Also, I have a Thule roof system for the sedan, which is of no use to the
Avant, as the Avant system is integrated thus making purchasing new feet
impossible.   Does anyone have an old Thule Rack, or want to swap a wagon rack
with a sedan rack?
