[s-cars] Oil Line?

Tsk, tsk, this is the price you pay for using JiffyLube :o). Really, it's
cheaper in the long run to crawl around on your back in the dirt and do it
yourself. All the cursing as you remove the over-torqued drain plug develops
character :o)
They are probably referring to one of the oil cooler lines. These are
stainless braid covered rubber hoses and don't typically "blow" unless the
monkeylad was doing chin-ups on them or the ends have corroded off. If you
"blow" one of these puppies oil loss is instantaneous and you don't limp
around topping it up. Sounds fishy - maybe they didn't tighten the filter or
somehow damaged one of the lines. Changing the oil on the S4 is so simple
even a QuikLube type should be capable.
Good luck!

Subject: [s-cars] Oil Line?
I allowed a "chain" oil change joint to change oil on my S4. During the
next 24 hours I added 12 quarts of oil just to get it back to the service
station. Oil indicator came on, oil pressure dropped. Figured they used
incorrect filter or didn't tighten it or the drain plug. Once back they
diagnosed that I "blew an oil line". Haven't seen it yet. What the hell
are they talkin' about? Last time a try to save time and use a non-audi
familiar service station!
