[s-cars] MFTS - Temp Gauge issues

I had intermittent temperature gauge readings for some time. Changing
the thermostat seemed to help - for a bit - but the only real cure was
changing the Multi Function Temperature Switch (MFTS). You need the
part, a deep 29 mm (6 point if you have one) socket and about 15 minutes
to change it. If you are good with your fingers plugging the hole in the
coolant manifold (under the intake manifold) while you swap the new MFTS
for the old one, you will only loose about 250 mL of coolant. You need
to disconnect the hoses from the throttle body and the ISV to get some
clearance for your ratchet. Do not over torque. Go to:

To learn all. (I got the new updated part).
