[s-cars] Rear Diff Install Questions

Hey Bill,
Yes I do have a Rear Torsen Differential from a V8. Bob Pastore saved my butt by quickly sending me out a diff. after I foolishly destroyed mine in about 2' of snow ;-)
I had ASW put the Diff. in and it works awesome and saved me some MAJOR cheese from a new unit. I cannot comment on the exact "how-to" of the process but I believe it is only 2-3 hours of work for an experienced mechanic.

The only question I still have is it sounds like the differential vacuum lock is still trying to activate or meter when I shut the car off as you can hear sort of a buzz from the diff. Anyone know how to shut this off? Just a matter of pulling a fuse?

Thx

cp

Subject: [s-cars] Rear Diff Install Questions

Folks,
Welcome back Igor and..
I am planning on installing a new (old V8 torsen) rear differential
installed next week and wonder if there are any BTDT's WRT to this
procedure? Parts needed?
I thought Cody Payne?? may have done this (or outsourced it.) ???
Anyone else?
In looking through the family album I could surmise hex bolts, gaskets
and grease are needed at least.
Any other suggestions or help would be much appreciated.
TIA
Bill M -Clueless as usual;)
