Shouldn't lose much coolant if you clamp the hoses as noted by Teddy.  You can also "plug" the hoses.  I think I used the handle end of a couple of screw drivers.  Keep a pan handy though.  When I did mine, I also took off the two rubber mounts that fit around the afterrun pump.  They are a kind of a pain to get back onto the mounting plate, so I suggest leaving them attached and bending twisting them to get the pump out.
