Hi Aaron;

With most kits you will have to pass wires through the headlight housing,
but you don't have to make a hole in the access cover with a proper kit. You
can see a write-up with pictures on the install I did on my UrS4 at
www.urs4.com/technical/headlights.html . I used a kit from www.hidkits.com
. It also shows how to get the headlight housing apart to clean the lenses.

Subject: [s-cars] HID recommendations and headlight removal

Hi all
Well I finally got around to installing my HID upgrade kit and dispite
what the vendor (supreme power) told me - the kit they sell is not a
simple Audi fit. It will require extensive cutting / splicing etc so I
will be returning it in favor of a more Audi specific kit.
I saw a write-up about the Lltec kit . Any other recommendations?? Do
they all require cutting a hole for a grommet throught the access cover?
The kit I bought woud be a simple fit were it not for this cover.
In addition - I managed to loosen the top half and side lenses of the
light housing assy but could not manage to locate where the lower half
is attached. Any BTDT?
Guess its time to spring for a Bentley - Did I see a recent post where
they can be had for $60 something?
Thanks
Aaron Taylor
