Rainy afternoon-
Finally got around to splicing in my '13913' o2 sensor last night. Heh,
removal of the apparently original one was interesting ('95 / 110k). It
appeared very white, and rather crusty / powdery. Surface was
disintegrating to the touch.
Now, I've never replace one before, but, I assume this thing was roached?
Odd thing is car ran seemingly fine with it like that. And, while I've only
commuted in with it so far, it doesn't seem any different.
Thoughts? Just curious. I would guess I *may* pick up an mpg or two, have
less idle 'hunt' (was very negligible), etc., no? Oh, FWIW, I've tracked a
few tanks after installing my new FPR... seem to have picked up a good 2-3
mpg...
