[s-cars] A transmission needed, 6-speed prefered

Folks,
it has tuned out that Stefan's new (to him) silver avant sings like a
canary on acceleration. The fluid drain has revealed quite a bit of
residual metal shavings. It looks like the transmission is toast.
Thus we are looking for either a good deal on a 6-speed or a low mileage
5-speed in a good shape. What are the best options out there?
