[s-cars] Boost Gauge

Now that I have a chipped car, I feel the need to monitor the boost.

It seems that most boost gauges show vacuum as well as boost. How does
monitoring vacuum help? Or should I be looking at a pure boost gauge
without the vacuum readings.

Where is the best spot to tap into the system? If I go with the boost /
vacuum gauge, does the hose leading to the ECU sense boost and vacuum?

Is there any advantage on getting an electronic boost gauge rather than
a mechanical one or I am wasting my money?
