Take a close look at both of your front CV boots on each side (inner
and outer). Sounds like one of your CV joints might be bad, the click
occurring as one of the CV bearings moves thru or to the wear spot at
the center of the travel...
If not, time to raise the car and check all the steering components.

MATT WROTE:
w/ wheels pointed straight ahead at a standstill and breaks not
applied, i turn the steering wheel to the right 1/2 a turn, pause, then
turn back to left and hear a "click" or soft "pop" sound from the front
left wheel assembly. does not happen when the inverse is tried. any
thoughts? tie-rod position (i.e. level to ground)? upper shock mount
cracked? lower control arm bushings? steering rack mount? i have
inspected all these w/ car on ground and does not appear to be any
visible failures of them.
