Much smoother, even flowing, no pronounced "kick in the back" power band
delivery too wouldn't you say? That at least was my feeling with an, at the
time, less than perfectly running car.... but then hey, who ever has a
running car, much less a perfectly running one?
Furthermore Dave, on behalf of Hap, I want to thank you for this great
PsyOps war opportunity to really but the fear of spotting a driver wearing a
Hawaiian shirt in a Green Audi in your rear view mirror in, oh say
Connecticut or the SF Bay area somewhere below 1,000 msl in the hearts, if
not the minds of all those living below 5,000 feet :-)

mountains, WHAT WILL IT CONSUME at sea level..." Pederson
Heck Dave, 1/4tr mile times may even stand still, or start running in
reverse!

but when you go further up to CO
S-car mafia levels, I hear you may lose some oomph,
but I have no btdt, but at 1k ft and 2k ft, my car
feels faster, at least from the seat of my olive oil
laden Ecru Recaro.
I can validate the loss in oomph at altitude, as I recently had my CO car
down to sea level. I also took the G-Tech along for the ride. HP increases
at sea level were in the 15% range, and the 1/4 mile time dropped by .6
seconds. I wouldn't necessarily qualify G-Tech readings as empirical, but a
change that significant does (at least in my mind) indicate a significant
loss due to altitude. The other very notable change was in turbo response.
My car has a RS2 turbo and EM, and here in CO seems to "come on" at about
3200rpm. At sea level it was producing a hit at about 2300rpm.
Just some general comments....
Dave in CO
