[s-cars] R314a A/C - Can I charge it myself?

I'm interesting in checking the refrigerant charge (R134a) on my 95.5
S6, too. I used to use a pressure gauge to measure low pressure side
pressure and add refrigerant as necessary to get the correct pressure.
My gauge has a Shrader valve fitting -- I can't imagine Hans und Klaus
using something so standard on an Audi! What can I expect to need to
check the A/C fill on my car?
