Oil smoke on deceleration can be caused by a poorly positioned or
torqued-out-of-true (permanent rotational twist from one end to the
other, compared to stock) of the exhaust cam. If you don't find any
issues with your rings, and you do find your valves burnt on the rear
most valves, this can be the culprit, especially if the rebuild gave
you substantially more power than stock.
