Hi Dan;

It's not good practise to run the hydraulic pump empty. The easiest way to
drain the oil is to remove the reservoir return hose at the back of the
bomb. This drains the reservoir. Turn the steering wheel side to side to
empty the rack - the oil drains out the bomb return hose.

Turkey baster!  Use it to drain all the fluid out of the reservoir, then
turn on the car and while stationary, keep moving the wheel lock to lock
(back and forth).  The reservoir will evenually fill up again.  Shut off
motor and drain again using turkey baster.  Keep doing this till nothing
comes out and your car makes some nasty noises at lock to lock.  Also good
time to remove reservoir, clean or replace filter, clean it thoroughly and
refill with fresh Pentosin.
