I think email has stopped working in general.  The immense spam volume
and the growing prevalence of brute force spam filters (and blacklists)
being tried out at major internet portals, ISPs, and dot-coms in general
has made the sure delivery of email a spotty affair indeed.

That's my theory and I'm sticking to it...
