[s-cars] Stiff Clutch and Overcenter Spring

Could the stiff clutch in our S-cars be due to broken overcenter spring?

If this spring is broken, the clutch pedal stiffens up considerably, as was
the case in my CQ.

Has anyone checked the condition of this spring?
