[s-cars] The busking S4 part 2

Thanks everyone!

There have been many theories and suggestions thrown out regarding my
"bucking" S4. The most common are check the moisture trap and change
the spark plugs.

What I described as bucking is like the engine completely shuts down
and the nose of the car dives. If I let off the accelerator and slowly
acelerate I am find, unless I mash the throttle down again in which
case I lose all power again.


I started driving this morning and the car responded normally, as both
the car and ambient air temperature warmed up the bucking returned.
I have recently realized that if I accelerate slowly the bucking
doesn't happen, but if I mash the throttle down to accelerate quickly
the bucking happens. When I am in thired gear it happens areound 4200
rpm, second gear it is around 3800 rpm.

I have finally found a source locally for the plugs, I will have to go
to the dealer to get them. Their price is $16.50 each, which compares
favorably to other sources at $15.65 each.

Unless there are any other suggestions I plan on replacing the spark
plugs tomorrow. The plugs have been in there sine before I purchased
the car, I have put over 35,000 trouble free miles on it and just went
over 200,000 miles so who knows how old the plugs are.
