M1 0W40 is recommended for the S4tt and A4 1.8T, I wouldn't
use it personally for any of the older Audis. My car is very
happy on a diet of 15W50 in the summer and 10W30 in the winter.

IMHO, 0W40 is too thin for use in the I-5s.

BTW, I'd also use it in our NB 2.0, but that's way overkill for
that engine (I'd go to a 7500-8000 mi. interval for that car and
that oil).
