There is a standard electrical connector at the steering rack.
Disconnect it and your steering will be linear and no longer spin in
your hand at low speeds.  If you have adjusted your steering rack
pre-load for different size tires, it is the plug right next to the
screw adjustment (driver side, back of engine bay, at the end of the
tie-rod from the driver's wheel is the rack).  I don't have a picture
to illustrate, but, it is fairly obvious when you look back there...
