[s-cars] Front Bumper Repair - BTDT?

I bought the DuPont paint for '94, Kirby, and it said right on the can "Will
have a yellowier tone than original paint". They were right. Apparently they
can't match the original colour, at least with DuPont. Perhaps using Alpine
White or another white as an undercoat might work, but it would involve some
experimentation.

More exactly, Fred, later S6's had a more beige-like pearl, e.g., Igor's
97. My '95, assembled in August of '94, is the original pearl color
that goes back to 20V 90qs and 200s. I was under the impression that
all 95s, if not also 95.5s, used the early pearl.

Paint should be bought from your DuPont/PPG/Ditzler/whatever auto paint
store and mixed to order for your particular model and year. The mixing
instructions to the guy making up the paint will vary with the color. I
suspect that the clear coat and the pearl effect are the same for both
versions and that only the undercoat is different. However, I have
never had any reason to buy any of the later color.
